Home team Glenville-Emmons was outscored overall 98-70 and faced three match points but then came within one point of taking the match to five sets. The roof caved in on the Wolverines as the night ended with three straight G-E hitting errors. Spring Grove scrimmaged at LeRoy on Aug. 28 against host LeRoy-Ostrander and Houston. Each offense began at the opponent's 40 yard-line with a 20 minute running clock. A touchdown or turnover sent the ball back to the 40.

After sweltering the previous Tuesday, it was a chilly Aug. 17 season finale for the Canton Men's Softball League.
