Group discussions held in Harmony, Lanesboro to brainstorm ideas for interpretive sites along bike trail
In conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, two meetings were held in Harmony and Lanesboro on Aug. 30 and Aug. 31, respectively, in order to discuss and brainstorm ideas for new interpretive sites along the Root River and Harmony-Preston state trails.

Area schools open next Tuesday
Most area schools will be starting after the Labor Day weekend holiday, on Tuesday, Sept. 7. So area drivers will want to keep their eyes open for the smaller students unfamiliar with the whole process of walking or riding a bike to school, as well the older students who may be inattentive.
