"It is important for children to plan, be proud of and be involved in their school. This project gives them ownership into their school. We will write and tag every plant with its name so the children - and some adults - can learn the names of the plants planted. We can build pride and learn the names of plants ... wow!" said Kingsland kindergarten teacher Marilyn Erdman, speaking of the new garden planted last Monday outside the front door of Kingsland Elementary School.

"I was attending my brother's graduation this past May from Winona State University when I ran into the Strikes, whom I have known since I played college football with Chad at RCTC. I spoke about the possibility of coaching at Kingsland and made contacts with Mr. Langemo. Here I am!" said Kingsland's new intermediate school reading instructor.
